The Team Mizuno Northeast (TMNE) Scout Team program is excited to announce that they will be joining Showcase League Baseball this fall 2016. Showcase League Baseball is New England’s premier fall baseball program. The goal of the league fits the goals of the TMNE Scout Team philosophy – provide a competitive environment for college bound players. This opportunity will offer TMNE players the unique opportunity to play on college baseball fields all fall.
The Showcase League limits the number of teams to just 12. Teams are from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. The season is 8-9 weeks long with every game to be played on a college field. Each game will be 9 innings and played on one weekend day per weekend, allowing multi-sport athletes to maintain their in-season sport as well as give them an opportunity to participate in fall baseball.
Showcase League Baseball’s past host colleges have included: University of Rhode Island, University of Massachusetts-Lowell, Bryant University, Franklin Pierce University, Southern New Hampshire University, St. Joseph’s, Keene State College, University of Maine-Orono, University of Southern Main, Western New England College, University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Holy Cross and Harvard University – to name a few.
The TMNE Scout Team roster for the fall will be limited to just 16-18 players. Committed 2017 TMNE players will be provided with first opportunity to participate. The cost to participate will be $850/players, which will include 8-9 games, one practice per week (1 hour and 30 minutes) at Hit Quarters, uniforms (game shirts and hats), umpire fees, outdoor facility fees, game balls and professional coaching.
More information on registration will be coming soon.
